The following links contain brush effects that may be downloaded and credited as am doing so here:

It is also fairly easy to make your own brushes. Try taking an image or some type, add filters or manipulate the image somehow that you feel is original and reflects your own style. Simply select your shape/image with the marquee or other selection tool and click on Edit>Define brush. To load the brush into your brush palette, click the drop-down arrow on the right side of the brush selection dialog box, this will show the brush palette. Click the drop-down arrow on the right side of it and you will see the option Load brushes. Simply select your newly downloaded .abr files and then pick them in the palette and you're off. These brushes may be used as paint brushes or selection brushes.
