Exaggeration Effects

Instructor uses an article on exaggeration from the National Association of PhotoshopTM Professionals' Magazine as a basis for a lesson on enhancing images. Ideas explored are use of magic wand and lasso selection tools, interpolation (image sizing) & blurring a duplicated background layer to create an optimized or simulated depth of field. Final images are characterized by the exaggeration of compositional space and the size of certain objects.

Sunflowers Color Correction

Instructor shows techniques for correcting color.  Hue/Saturation, selections, filters, and relationships between S-RGB and Adobe RGB are explored.  In addition, tips for color editing using layers, the Ozone 2.5 plug-in and image adjustment information from the histogram are included.

Parts I, II, & III : Converting RGB to Greyscale

Techniques of removing color from an image using selective adjustment layers are explored in this 3 part series.  The instructor gives a step-by-step instruction in non-destructive dodging and burning, vignetting, and creating a desaturated RGB file for a black and white image editing.  This allows for more local control and corrections.
